Ready To Ship Items

Local Pick Up

If you live in the Edmonton, AB, Canada area and would prefer to pick your order up at our Sherwood Park store instead of shipping, please select Local Pick Up at checkout. You will receive a notification with further instructions once your order is ready. Note: some accelerated payment options, such as Google Pay or Apple Pay, may not give the option for local pickup. If this occurs, please use another payment option.

Ready To Ship Items

Orders will be shipped within 1-2 business days whenever possible for in-stock products. You will receive a shipping notification once a shipping label has been created. If you have also ordered any custom order/dyed to order items, the order will be held until all items are ready.

Incomplete/Undeliverable Address

If an incomplete or otherwise undeliverable address was used at checkout and the customer does not contact us before the item has shipped, the customer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping the order.

Ashford Items

Most Ashford products are shipped directly to the customer from the distributor - we do not carry much stock in store. They are shipped from Victoria, BC, and will require extra processing time. We do not have access to their stock levels, so we will let you know if any items are on back order. Since out of stock items must ship to Victoria from New Zealand, backordered products may take quite some time to arrive. In situations where the backordered product will take some time to arrive, customers will be given a choice for a refund of those products (which may affect shipping rates), or to wait until the order arrives. 

Custom Ordered Items

Custom ordered items may take up to 4-6 weeks to process, although we do try to get them ready as soon as possible. The extra time may be needed to bring stock of the yarn or dyes in, as our inventory is always fluctuating, and there are global supply chain delays. If you are considering putting in a custom order and would like a better idea of the timeline, please don't hesitate to contact us. If we anticipate we will be unable to fulfill custom orders within 6 weeks, then the option to custom order will be removed from the website temporarily.

Tracking and Insurance

Customers are highly encouraged to select a shipping option that is trackable and has insurance, as this is the only way missing packages can be traced and replaced. 

Shipping Delays

Shipping times may be delayed during typically high volume times, such as the weeks before Christmas, during a postal strike, (which also affects transit times with other carriers as they absorb the extra load), or if a natural disaster is affecting an area along the distribution route. Occasionally the shop will have delayed shipping due to unusual circumstances; in this case a notification will be posted in the store in advance, with a date when shipping will resume.

Free Shipping

Shipping is free to the customer for all Canadian and US orders over $200 (after discounts, and before shipping and taxes, if applicable). The lowest shipping rate will be used regardless of selection at checkout. Free shipping cannot be combined with Rewards discounts.

Note: the shipping policies do not apply to Wholesale Agreements, which have their own policies.
